Our Vision

Origins

Through experiences since moving to Kent, survey data received, discussions already held and alongside my work with young people in schools I believe that the negative incidents that have been experienced could have been avoided had there been education and an open dialogue about racism and its affects. We have been made aware of casual racism which is disguised as banter, direct racism in the form of taunts and a disrespect towards those that may have differences.

Mission

Panda Anti-Racism Team empowers young people and educators with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to challenge racism and build inclusive communities.

Through engaging workshops and meaningful discussions, we create safe spaces for learning, reflection, and action—ensuring that anti-racism is embedded in education and everyday life.

Becoming PART of the Solution

At Panda Anti-Racism Team, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and communities impacted by racism. Our work centres on providing safe spaces for open dialogue, where students can share their experiences, challenges, and hopes for a more inclusive future. We run workshops and programs that address the complexities of racism, focusing on raising awareness, fostering empathy, and building understanding among young people. Through these initiatives, we aim to not only educate but also inspire participants to become active agents of change in their communities.

In addition to raising awareness, PART works directly with those affected by racism to provide the tools and support they need to navigate their experiences and advocate for themselves. We offer mentorship and resources that help individuals build resilience, confidence, and leadership skills, ensuring they have the power to challenge and dismantle racial injustices in their schools and wider society. Our approach is rooted in the belief that true change continues to be led by those who experience oppression, and by ensuring we empower them, we can create a ripple effect of transformation that reaches far beyond the classroom.

Furthermore, PART works alongside schools to make meaningful, systemic changes that foster inclusive and equitable learning environments. We collaborate with school leadership, staff, and students to assess their existing policies and practices, identifying areas where structural racism may exist. By providing tailored training, resources, and guidance, we help schools create anti-racist policies, and promote diversity in leadership roles. Our goal is to ensure that schools are not only reactive to incidents of racism but are proactive in creating lasting cultural shifts that benefit all students and staff. Through this comprehensive approach, PART supports schools in building an environment where all students, regardless of their race, can thrive.
